Nel centro del paese villa singola con giardino affacciata sulla famosa cascata di Branzi incastonata tra le montagne e circondata da boschi di conifere.

La villa, chiamata “La Casina di Elsa“, è diventata col tempo una delle immagini più pittoresche e amate del paese, soprattutto tra i visitatori che passeggiano nella zona della cascata.

La Casina di Elsa era una vecchia casetta in pietra, con balconi fioriti e un tetto in piode, proprio nel cuore del verde. È inserita in un contesto naturale magnifico, incorniciata dalla cascata che le fa da sfondo e dai boschi circostanti.
Molti la definiscono “la casetta da cartolina” perché sembra uscita da un libro di fiabe o da un dipinto alpino: piccola, semplice, ma incredibilmente suggestiva.

La signorina Elsa, già proprietaria insieme alla mamma e alla nonna dell’Albergo Monaci distante pochi metri, che ha abitato per un lungo periodo la “casina”, era l’amatissima maestra del paese, i cui allievi vivono tuttora e la ricordano con amore, data la sua generosità nei loro confronti e la sua grande bontà. Tutti parlano ancora di lei e sono onorati di averla conosciuta, frequentata e vissuta. Era single, raffinata e accogliente, ma riservata.

Nel 2018 è stata completamente ristrutturata, il balconcino è stato ampliato in un funzionale terrazzo, è stato recuperato il sottotetto per creare una camera padronale con bagno privato in un’ala e nell’altra ala ulteriori tre stanze, ognuna caratterizzata da un abitante del bosco (i cerbiatti, gli scoiattoli e gli orsi) e un bagno.

Dal patio antistante l’ingresso si entra in un ampio disimpegno che invita verso l’area conviviale della casa composta da una zona pranzo, living con affaccio verso la montagna e l’accesso al bellissimo terrazzo da cui si può godere della vista della nota cascata. Dalla parte opposta dell’ingresso si trova lo studio e il bagno per gli ospiti.

Al piano inferiore si trova un box di dimensioni importanti (9×3 metri), il locale tecnico e un doppio locale finestrato da utilizzare nel modo che si preferisce (taverna, locale hobby, sala musica, ecc.). Da qui si accede al giardino con decine di piante di ogni tipo da cui si può godere della maestosità della montagna e della sua cascata.

La Casina di Elsa was once an old stone cottage, with flower-filled balconies and a traditional slate roof, right in the heart of greenery. It is set in a magnificent natural setting, framed by the waterfall in the background and the surrounding woods.
Many refer to it as “the postcard house” because it looks like something out of a fairy tale or an alpine painting: small, simple, yet incredibly charming.

Miss Elsa, who lived in the “casina” for many years, was the beloved schoolteacher of the village. Together with her mother and grandmother, she also owned the nearby Hotel Monaci, just a few meters away. Her former students, many of whom are still alive today, remember her fondly for her kindness and generosity. Everyone still talks about her and feels honored to have known her. She was single, refined, welcoming, yet reserved.

In 2018, the house underwent a complete renovation: the balcony was expanded into a functional terrace, the attic was converted to create a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom on one side and three additional bedrooms on the other, each themed after a forest animal (deer, squirrels, and bears), along with a shared bathroom.

From the patio at the entrance, you step into a spacious foyer that leads to the convivial area of the house, which includes a dining area, a living room with mountain views, and access to the beautiful terrace overlooking the famous waterfall. On the opposite side of the entrance, there is a study and a guest bathroom.
